Betty Wachsstock Schonfeld was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1954. She studied at the Academy of Arts “Bezalel” in Jerusalem, in 1972. Back in Antwerp, she studied sculpture with Prof. Jan de Schutter, from the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.

About Betty Wachsstock Schonfeld
Betty Wachsstock Schonfeld was born in Antwerp, Belgium, in 1954. She studied at the Academy of Arts “Bezalel” in Jerusalem, in 1972. Back in Antwerp, she studied sculpture with Prof. Jan de Schutter, from the Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp.
Monuments
Painted horse with collages, representing the history of the jewish people.
This is a monument in remembrance of a group of Belgian jews from Bnei Akiva, who where planning to make alias, but where exterminated by the nazis before they could realise their dream. The monument represents the group of people, as well as a list of their names .
